Remarks
The college is quite balanced as it is for those who want to study as well as those who are good in sports and extracurricular activities. The college campus is green and clean. There are enough facilities like a gym, a playground for all types of sports like basketball, volleyball, tennis, cricket, football, etc. The crowd is also good and you can meet some intelligent and smart people while you are here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well-planned and systematic. The exams are conducted in semester wise manner. Before the semester exams, two midterm internal assessments are taken. Students also need to give practical exams or lab tests for better understanding. Remedial classes are taken by teachers for the improvement of underperforming students.
Placement Experience
The placement history of the college is quite good as big companies like TATA Steel, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Infosys and many more visit the college to offer jobs to students. The college has also been successfully providing internships to meritorious students.
College Events
All kinds of Indian puja and festivals are celebrated in a grand way at DRIEMS. Especially important days like Saraswati Puja, Vishwakarma Puja, Independence day, Republic day, etc are celebrated in good spirit on the college campus.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of the college is very feasible amounting to INR 45,000 per semester and INR 50,000 per annum if you go for hostel facilities. The college is definitely affordable and worth the money.
Campus Life
We have various extra-curricular activities like ?Vasantika?- The annual cultural fest of the B.Tech department of the college. It is an intra-college fest so students from all the departments participate. Popular singers and performers perform on stage on the last day of this cultural extravaganza. Other tech fests and national level seminars are the main events that happen at regular intervals at DRIEMS.
Hostel Facilities
My college does provide hostel facilities for out-station students. The hostel charge is quite reasonable at INR 50,000 yearly. The infrastructure is up to the mark with spacious rooms to accommodate at least four students easily and has all the basic necessities. And the mess provides food timely thrice a day.
Admission
To get admission in DRIEMS, I applied online by filling a form on the college website. The eligibility criteria for Btech is any student who has passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/ Biology /Biotechnology /IT and has qualified in JEE (MAIN)/OJEE. However, the admission is strictly based on the JEE (MAIN)/OJEE ranking of a student. As I had a good rank, I got admission.
Faculty
All the teachers are very well-qualified and knowledgable in their particular subjects. What I like the best about the faculty is that they provide extra study material to students as and when required with more equipment for absolute understanding. In fact, the teachers come from reputed institutions in our country like IITs and NITs.
