My major was in journalism and public relation so the interview used to be conducted at the end of last year where different news channels including Aaj Tak, Star news, ABP, NDTV, IndiaTV used to come and conduct the interviews. The selection was totally on the basis of merit an academic performances. 85% of the students used to get placed with an average package of Rs.12 lakhs per annum.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college was expensive if you were not admitted on the basis of scholarship. The fees for two years was around Rs.5 lakhs and it could be submitted semester wise. The mode of payment was off-line and online through demand draft, cheque, card payments. No cash was accepted.

Campus Life

The college was huge and had spacious multipurpose hall and seminar halls. We had big playgrounds where the students could play all kinds of sports. The facilities like libraries, laboratories, gym, yoga centre, language labs, clubs including art class were all present at the campus. There was a diversity at the college and had more girls than boys.

Admission

Based on my bachelor and CAT entrance examination conducted by the college itself ,I got the admission to the college. The application form was available online, after filling up the form with the entrance exam details I was called up on the campus for my mental ability and English proficiency test and interview. The rounds were cleared and I got admitted into the course.

Faculty

4.5

The teachers of the college were very helpful and supportive throughout the curriculum. They were all humble and polite. All of the teachers had an expert experience in various journalism fields and they were reputed nobles. My personal guidance teacher was my public relation teacher, Miss Shruti and she was one of the finest faculty of the college.

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
