Internships Opportunities
At our time 2007 , it was time of huge economic meltdown . Jobs were less and only 3 companies came for interns.Average stipend was to the tunes of Rs 9000.
Placement Experience
Placement was decent enough considering it was the time of job depression KPMG 6 lakhs, Delloite 5.2 lakhs, Wipro 4.8 lakhs, TCS 4.5 Lakhs, Collabra 3.9 lakhs, Styam 3.3 lakhs and few more which i do not remember.
College Events
Biggest fest was annual IIITA fest where other colleges were also invited to participate and then the regular one. Annual sports meet - ranging from Football, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis. Also Independence day 5 k marathon was a big deal as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
Semester toppers used to receive Rs 18,000 in cash 2nd runner up used to get to the tune of Rs 15,000.And if i remember correctly SC/ST/OBC candidates they had to pay less in terms of their tution fees.
Campus Life
This was one of coolest and most chilled out places i ever had the honor of knowing and studying in it .Gender Ratios were like 70/30 in favour of boysHostel Parties were pretty rampant .
Alumni/Alumna
College seniors were cool to start with there was no ragging .Most of the Alumni are still in touch with each other through college groups and also there is alumnus meet every 5 years .
Exam Structure
First Semester and Second semester were quite hectic and had 17 course electives which we needed to clear .Apart from the regular presentations and group discussion on current topics.Third and fourth semester were pretty chilled out.
Faculty
Education wise mostly all the faculty were quite learned and decent in their understanding of course structure and curriculum. What i liked most was they had very innovative way of relating real time business scenarios with the course structure.
