Remarks
The journey with Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies has given me an immense pleasure. I have learnt so much with the same that the learnings are just irreplaceable. With all the best ambience it is structured well for the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum of the college is quite interesting. Course is as per IMU and DG based course. The exams are held in every six months which are followed with the monthly assignments, model tests and also suprise tests. Practical tests are take quite often for the students to check their ability.
Placement Experience
Placements are really good in the premises. We are firstly given internship that is from the college's side and where we work as researchers and intern under college's supervision. Last year students get placements with companies with a good stipend of 12000 dollars a month.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees is a little expensive but it is the best college for marine studies so it is totally worth the same. Fee Structure is 4.78 lakhs per annum for four years additional charges such as examination fees, research fees and the trip fees is excluded from the same.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities includes all the research work we are been taught. Workshops are organised under the supervision of an expert,who firstly interact with the students through a seminar. Sports day is organised super actively.
Admission
After 10+2 to get admission in a Marine studies College Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies was a really good option. Eligibility criteria for students is to clear 10+2 with minimum 60% marks for b.tech in marine engineering. I got my name in the merit list and I was called for submitting my documents.
Faculty
Faculty of the college is above excellence. They are really supportive and are always excited to teach new to the students with not just technical knowledge but also the ship knowledge. Faculty helps every student to work well with their practical portion.
