The course curriculum of this btech marine engineering is engaged from indian maritime University . The syllabus of this is mostly relevant to the marine subjects and working of marine engines .The starting semester's has common subjects as a normal engineering college but as the semester changes the subjects will be moving to marine sector. This curriculum provides proper preparation for the exam point of view and as well as helps in the life application. The exams are conducted on the basis of syllabus completion and course duration.

This institute provides intership for crew of the vessels . This intership candidates have separate faculty for helping out in understanding the task . It includes welding ,fitting ,lathe machine , electrical etc.

Samundra institute of maritime studies offers 100 percent placement on the completion of course with no obligations. But if the candidate fails to complete the course and fails to obey the institutes code of conduct may be facing obligations in placement. The candidate gets stipend for the first six months of sailing as junior engineer and cadet . The salary increases as the candidate clears clears the competency exams .

After receiving the joining letter the candidate has to pay 5 lakhs approx and need to complete the due payment in upcoming semesters which includes all fee (hostel ,food , amenities etc). Fees for the complete course will be approximately 20-22 lakhs and has deduction in fees for the girl candidates. The fees is increasing yearly as the demand for maritime colleges is increasing.

The overall experience with campus life is good . This campus has less programmes and social gatherings compared to other institutions as it has its main focus on academic development.yes there are days where the candidates can enjoy as festivals, sports, Olympiad etc. This is institute is one of the best in terms of infrastructure which includes hostel , academic block , administration block gymnasium, cafeteria, swimming pool , lab block , workshop ,ship in campus etc. It has high class air conditioned class rooms with projector screen and security cameras

This institute includes hostel facility in the fees brochure and provides cabin for each candidate in the institute . It provides rooms with good space and ventilation, it has wifi connections for each cabin and has attached bathroom for each cabin. It also provides cupboards for storing clothes and other essentials.

The main point I have selected this college after a lot research on marine colleges /institutes, I have found this institute as better option based on infrastructure, education,food , accomodation ,quantity and many other factors . The admission process includes 1 institute exam 2IMU exam 3 institute interview 4 institute psychometric test 5 medical test 6 document verification 7 fees verification

The course structure includes the pre season training of 4 years as marine engineer and after graduating as a marine engineer , the cadet will be placed in a ship who needs to sail for 6 months and d will be attending further exams for other classes The toughness of the exams in the institute are average and can be written with the knowledge taught by the faculty . Frequent examinations improves the students explanation of the answers .This institute has chief engineer's and captains who teach the cadet's based on their experience and knowledge.

This institute has examinations , interview, medical , psychometric etc tests for admission.The examinations and interview are of level of 12 th standard which can be easily answered .it has various admission offices placed in main cities of the country , like chennai ,mumbai , kochi , delhi , etc.

Thsi institute has a strict rule of not coming out of hostel after 2030 hrs because of the safety reasons . The academic timing is morning 8 30pm to evening 5:00 pm. It has morning muster at 5 :45 am for head count and physical education .This campus has one side surrounded with indrayani river which provides pleasent environment while walking along the path way of the river .
