This institute a lifetime experience

One of the best institute in India to study. More attention should definitely be given to promote more start up culture,innovation best companies on campus for placement. Make a brand in the lines of IIM A/B/C and encourage to take up more alumni connect activities.

I took CAT 2011 examination and scored 94.93 percentile to get a call from IIT Kanpur. Given the reputation, environment and best available facilities it was the most favorable institute I considered for my 2 years of MBA program.

The course curriculum was though bit rigorous and demanding it provided vast space to learn things in a detailed and thorough manner. We followed a semester curriculum which spanned across 4 months unlike trimester system that most of the b-schools follow. Each of the courses had theory course project based on industry problems and case studies. All total were 4 semesters with each semester containing around 6-7 subjects depending on the credit requirements.

We had a very good college internship experience where students get access to some of the best brands in India. In Finance institutes like Reserve Bank of India,Bloomberg, Markit,Jeffries and Jeffries,ICICI etc. Some of the best analytics,consulting companies like Dell,Delloitte,Cognizant etc recruit students. General stipend ranges from 12500-150000 per month.

The placement is one of the best in India. Most of the industry leaders in likes of Delloitte,TCS,Cognizant,ICICI,Lava International,Mitsui Chemical,Infosys,HP analytics,Dell,ITC infotech etc visit to campus to recruit students. The average salary for the batch stood at 9 lakhs annum with the highest salary standing at 40lakhs annum in a japanese firm.

The institute has various festivals to showcase skills i.e antaragini,techkriti and prabandhan (annual management festivals) at the national level. These events are one of the most sought institute festivals across India and involves participation from some of the reputed institutes across India. Some of the big industry names,celebrities,Nobel prize winners,music bands,numerous events,talk shows,case study presentation,consulting solutions,national debates are some of the teasers that these events host.

It has one of the cheap fee structure in India which is highly feasible for any student who has studied here. The tuition fees per semester was Rs 40000 semester whereas most of the IIMs charged at least 14 lakhs for 2 years tuition fess standalone.

SBI provides loan facilities to all the students at a very affordable rate. The institute also provides scholarship to needy students to cover the tuition fees.

Campus life is full with abuzz. Extremely vibrant full of informative session,freedom to pursue your passion,loads of extracurricular activities,sporting events,debate sessions, beautiful infrastructure and most importantly lovely peacocks.

Excellent hostel facilities with clean rooms,lush gardens, well maintained structures,hygienic and tasty food at a very cheap rate. The average rental for a single room is 7000 semester and mess bill at 1700 month.

Alumni are one of the best I have ever come across. Very supportive,friendly,talented and most importantly extremely helpful. Lucky to have their companionship.

The exam structure followed was semester system with some courses haveing a lab system. Though it was bit hectic but enough time to pursue other activities as well. Overall good exam structure.

The institute has a set of the best faculties available in India. There is mixed blend of faculties from IIM-A/B/C and post doc fellows from some of the best institutes in the world. Alongwith the permanent staff we had some of the best visiting faculties from leading industry biggies,stalwarts.
