Remarks

This university is one of the most advanced and featured university in kerala. The university has been approved by UGC and accredited by NAAC. Many of the famous personalities in kerala are pass out from MG university. The syllabus offered by university is updated and also as per industrial standards.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is a postgraduate course of 2 years in English & literature. The course involves a thorough study of Indian Writings in English literature. It focuses on the three main aspects of drama, prose and poetry. Overall the course prepares students for creative english writing. Overall this is the best course for job holders and for the people who are engaged with other important activities.

Placement Experience

In distance education institute does not offer any placement support. But most of my batchamtes got placed by their own in recuriting companies like cognizant, NextEducation, Samsung, Oracle etc. They all are earning well. I also got an offer from good company, but due to my current job I was not interested in it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees is Rs 2,475 for our course which is very feasible and relevant to pay for anyone. Application fees for admission is INR 1050 only. Students can pay their fees through SBT/Friends Janasevana Kendra/University Cash Counter.

Campus Life

There are various online guest lectures, online national and international conferences, seminars on zoom app and much more things organized by college for us. These all activities provides us knowledge and various neccessary skills. Due to distance learning we are not able to attend cultural and sports activities organized by college.

Admission

I prefered distance MA as I was doing my job and it was not possible for me to do regular MA. The course fits with regular responsibilities, without sacrificing time for work, family or learning. I got admission in this course on the basis of marks I obtained in the qualifying examination followed by documentation verification process.

Faculty

Faculties who are in charge of the distance education system provide us well researched notes and study material through online mode or by post. The only thing lacks in course is less interaction and social interactions with faculties.

Nothing tell about bad things only good thing are there.

Our college comes under the Kerala Technical University(KTU) and the syllabuses are those of KTU syllabus updated on 2016. College and faculties promote and provide chances for Industrial visit in industries all over India. The faculties of our college are well experienced and with better qualifications. Prof Rajesh Menon of the mechanical department is a gold medalist from IIT MADRAS.

I choose this college because this was the best college I was getting from my rank obtained in KEAM. I cleared the cutoff for this college in second round.Admission here are given on the basis of their rank of obtained in either KEAM(Kerala engineering architecture medical entrance test) or NATA.

Remarks:

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.

The admission to the PG courses is based on the merit . The interested candidates for PG courses have to apply for the centrally allotment process known as PGCAP.
