Best days of my Life

The College Management was very good they always tried to get us the best of the education from best of the available faculties and the facilities.

All India Entrance Test for Lucknow University MBA Programs. I belong to Lucknow and LUMBA was among Top 10 management programs at time in India. Admission process was simple,consisting of a objective type aptitude test,followed by GD and Interview.

The Course Curriculum was good. I opted for IT and Marketing along with all other papers. Did my Project in IT around CCNOW payment gateway and a study on e-com market of that time.

Our Internship co-ordination team helped all the students get Internship across various public sector and provide companies in Lucknow Delhi and North India.

In our batch of MBA-IT with 30 students almost all were placed through the campus interviews with companies like TCS,HCL,Accenture etc coming in the Campus Packages at that time in 2000 were in the range of 3-6 LPA.

We organized our annual tech and Cultural festivals where we invited all colleges in and around had various dance and Music completions along with coding hackathon.

During that time as was a direct selection from the entrance exam and I was a day scholar my fee was Rs 5000 per semester i.e. 10,000 per year. It was lot cheaper then the other provide colleges around in the city.

The program is well approved by UGC and loan facility was offered by all leading banks and Fis with simple formalities. I know some of friends did opt for that and could get it quickly.

Campus life was cool female students out numbered the males on the attendance and the academic records. All were treated equally and their was no intolerance among the students with regards to gender,ethnicity,race,religion,sexual orientation,politics and economic status.

I was day scholar can't say mush about the Hostels,during those days were shared the hostel with regular Lucknow University MA/MSC students now LUMBA as separate new building and new hostels dedicated for the management students and have all required facilities.

The Seniors and the Alumni network was always helpful they were eager to share their experience and guide us with do's and don't for the campus interview process and corporate world.

We did require to study for the Exams and Labs were always a fun to work out. It was full day session almost like 9 to 5 office which prepared us well for the future if I look back to those days now they were not hectic as we chilled out a lot.

Faculty were the best available in Lucknow across all colleges. Apart from the regular renowned teachers of Lucknow University the visting faculties from various private and public sector were also very good and gave us real time Industry insights.
