This college has everything that students need in higher education. Teachers are educated. This institute aims to produce Innovative professionals with sound subject knowledge and social character and it does justice to this vision. This is a good college to study civil engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is a four-year full-time course spread over eight semesters. The program is approved by AICTE and affiliated to the Anna University Chennai. The course curriculum is organised in a way that it will help us to apply our knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering. Exams and labs schedule leave the day very hectic.
Placement Experience
Placement here is not mere annual ritual. We have department placement and career development cell who helps the student to get placed in top-notch companies. The college provides us with soft skills training by experts from outside the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Total fees for four years is Rs2.1 lakhs. In my opinion fee structure here is reasonable compared to other engineering colleges. For the first year, you need to pay Rs50,000 tuition fee, Rs10,000 other fee. For the remaining three years the fee is Rs50,000 per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
They have scholarship under government schemes as well as under private sector. They offer SASURIE scholarships too on their own. The students enter on the basis of merit and sports quota. You can see the details of scholarships on their official website.
Campus Life
Our college has many extracurricular activities. We celebrate yoga day, graduation day is celebrated every year. Other departments have their annual symposiums and workshops. In 2018 our department organises VYUHA a national level symposium.
Admission
I got admission here on the basis of the TNEA exam. In this course, the intake capacity is 60 students so it is difficult to get admission here you need to score high marks. You should have passed H.sc academic/H.sc vocational/3-year diploma in engineering or equivalent with minimum 50% marks.
Faculty
Faculty is very friendly during classes and after classes as well. They give us regular assignments and practical works to enhance our skills. They are creative and efficient. They always push us to work hard and to dream big.
