Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure is designed in such a way that students really get a chance to research and explore. The four year course gives you a valuable insight on the field for which you're studying. The days when practical sessions are held are a bit hectic.

Placement Experience

The placement cell of the college is really nice and students can placed in the fisheries and agricultural department. The stipend is also average. The internship opportunities are limited and students need to find on their own and there is a scope of improvement in that field.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the B.tech course is around 3.6 Lakh for one year. The labs and facilities which are provided are at par which resonates the fees structure. It can be a bit expensive but the education is quality too.

Campus Life

There is a great deal of emphasis on guest lectures, workshops and quizzes. There are specific clubs for the students as well to discuss world issues apart from academics. There is a general harmony in college.

Admission

Admission to the college is based on the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by yhe KEA. The procedure is similar for BVsc and BFsc. I chose this course particularly as it interests me and I wanted to pursue it professionally.

The faculty of the college is really helpful and highly qualified in what they do. They are also very generous and are lenient and strict depending on the quality of work. They try to make sessions attractive for us.

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage

They provide good curriculum and better syllubus which covers most of the geology and oceanography topics especially physical and chemical oceanography, climatology, hydro geology and other topics but practically they seems little back they doesn't provide new instruments for surveying and oceanography they still following old techniques which is not relevantly used in this time

From 7th to 8th semester students become eligible for campus placement and various types big hotel brands, airlines, cruiselines and big companies visit to recruit or give placements to students and average offers are made around 600000 lakhs per annum. Collage provides 100% placement to students and we go for intership twice, once in 3rd semester and second in 8th semester. we can choose whereever we want to do our intership even we can apply for abroad interships. After I complete my degree I am planning to get a job in any international brand or cruiselines then after 2-3 years of experience I will do complete my masters then I will settle down with a nice job in India.

You need to have secured 60% or 6/10 CGPA in the undergraduate programme from a recognized university.The percentage criteria for SC/ST students is 5.5/10 or 50%. In order to seek admission in my course you need to clear Common Entrance Test as conducted by KEA. The age limit of the candidate should not exceed beyond 17 years. There is also a 5% relaxation given to SC/ST candidate.Other than that you need to secure 50% marks in PCB in class 12th from a recognized board.English is also a compulsory subject.You can apply online for this course.
