Unique Technical MBA

College is good if you want to opt for technical MBA where the growth is in later stage. But the initial package offered by companies is not so good. In terms of campus, it is one of the reputed college in north but there are better colleges in south.

I took XAT and UPES Exam. XAT got 65%.Since i was working in power sector, i was interested in MBA in Power Management. This college is one of the most reputed college for this subject.

It was perfect. There were more subjects each semester - around 10 subject each semester. It included general subject of MBA and additional technical subject to cover aspects of Power Management.

i did internship in Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory commission. Since it is good to do internship in regulatory commission for power management students, there was no stipend. Where as in some private companies stipend of up to 15000 was offered.

Placement is always 100% in MBA power management. But average package is very low. Even package of 4.5 was offered, which is not good. Highest package is 10.5.

College is located in good location. and events like Ignite and Urja are very famous. URJA goes on for 3 days, where DJ and Band are done. Also ICMI technical event is good, where papers are been presented by students and faculties.

Fees is in mid range. It is 800000 for 2 years. It is feasible. But in terms of return on investment, it is a bit low.each semester 200000 is the fees. and there are no additional fees been taken.

Loan faciltiy is provided by college. Yes bank is been associated for it. Scholarship for toppers is awarded. 200000 is the scholarship. and for dehradun students fees is less.

Campus is among one of the best campus in India. Good football ground and basket ball ground is available. Also they encourage students to participate in various technical events. Entrepreneurship programs.

Good networking is there. But it is not maintained by college but by faculties and students on their personal benefits. There is no proper alumini network. But network among seniors is done by facebook.

There are 2 exams in each semester. Mid sem and End sem. 20% of mid sem is taken for final marks. 50 % of end sem is taken for final marks. and remaining 30% is internal marks given by faculty for assignment and class presentations.

HOD of power management is very helpful and experienced. There were few faculties who were very good, like finance and strategy subjects. All others teachers were on average range.
