Course Curriculum Overview
We had a detailed course and it merged every aspect of the medicine and focused much on the theory as the students were new to the curriculum. We have to go to the hospital after the second year regularly and see the operation and take notes of every procedure.
Placement Experience
When I enrolled myself in the MBBS course, I was told that a year internship was mandatory and after that, there were placement opportunities at the campus. Also, students can get high pay if applied to private firms. However, during the period of internship, I got much to explore at the institute hospital.
College Events
There were inaugural events where the deans and directors gave a motivational speech. Also, we have cultural festivals and dance along with the music shows. Generally, some volunteers celebrated independence day and several other national holiday events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
We have 10,00,000 per annum as our fees which were expensive to many. Also, the fees were to be paid at the timeline outlined by the admission council. However, the amount was steady for the coming years until the student graduates.
Campus Life
At the Sree Gokulam Medical College and Research Foundation, we have activities related to the curriculum itself like social work for health and cleanliness awareness in rural areas. Also, we have quiz competition activity at the campus itself. Students were mostly from similar religion and cast.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, I had some interactive talk with the alumni students but they were from different streams working at the hospital. The seniors, on the other hand, were much helpful and made us understand the importance of extra reading at the library itself.
Admission
I followed the application process for giving the NEET-UG, after my higher secondary education. Also, the institute officials gave the seat to the eligible students only and considered the merit as a liable option. A detailed list of documents was given which have to be submitted by every student.
Faculty
For the candidates of MBBS, the lectures were given to the different department and also some expert lectures were scheduled every week including the ones at the laboratory and hospital. We got much to learn as all the faculties gave very detailed knowledge and tips along with the important notes.
