Remarks

Overall experience was good. Those who want to study and get good placements college provides various opportunities.Thorough professionals with practical as well as theoretical knowledge.

Entrance Preview

Direct Interview based on class 12th Marks. Oil & Gas studies was a domain specific course and since I always had an inclination towards marketing so decided to go ahead with a specialized domain specific course.

Course Curriculum Overview

Apart from basic management subjects there were papers based on specific oil & gas based studies.Oil & Gas Management, Lubricants Marketing, Oil & Gas Storage & Transportation, Health Safety & Environment, wtc.

Internships Opportunities

Internships were basically offered in Oil & Gas companies like IOCL, BPCL, etc. Apart from this companies in Lubricants Marketing also offered internship.Stipend ranged from Rs 10000 to 20000 per month.

Placement Experience

Almost all the students were given fair chance to get placed in one or another company. For marketing background co's like Motul, Shell, etc visited. Apart from this Wipro, Accenture, etc also visited the campus. Annual package ranged between 3.5 to 6 Lakh.

College Events

There were college fests in which other colleges from state used to participate.There were tech fests organised for engg. students in which all the engg colleges along with few IIT's used to participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee varied from course to course.For the students with Domicile of State a fee concession was provided.Apart from this being a private college fee structure was on a expensive side.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholorships were provided but I don't have a clear idea about the same.Unaware of any loan facility provided by college.

Campus Life

There were ample number of opportunities for extra curricular activities. There were annual college cricket/ football tournaments.Gender ratio was 65:35 (Boys: Girls).

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms were allocated based on first come first serve basis.Mess was clean with average food apart from week ends.PG's used to cost around 3 to 5 K per month.Hostel used to cost around 1 Lakh per month.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

College has a comprehensive alumni program.Alumni meets are organised every year.Senior students were also invited to campus to share there experience.College also has its own online alumni portal.

Exam Structure

A particular year used to have 2 semesters.Every semester had Mid Term & End Term exams.Overall it was a balanced academic structure.

Faculty

Faculty were from the field of Oil & Gas. There were visiting faculty from various Oil & Gas companies like Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, Reliance, PNGRB, etc.

After 1st year the student are eligible for placement there are lot of companies visited like Reliance,Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, TOI, and the minimum package is 4 lakh and the maximum package is 30 lakh approximately 85 percent students are placed

From second semester the intership placement is eligible for the students The company visited here mend solution, bajaj, etc The average package is 6Lakh per annum and highest is 15Lakh per annum 75 % is needed for placement After getting the degree I will use to apply for the best companies

Placement Experience:

As I am a bba student and I have 3 year of course duration so students starts doing internship from 2nd year and. Placements aree provided from 3 year. By college The highest page goes of 12 lpa in bba and average goes of 5lpa . Approx 80% students get placed .I am planning to do my masters afterwards. Major companies like Amazon and many more visits to our college

P&G, Jyothi Laboratories and many such companies and even technology companies are also some which comes for placements. However I have plans for further studies so I won't be applying for job otherwise placement as high as 12lakhs have been provided by our campus.

Placement Experience:

At Shivalik like we have been advised to find internships from each semester here on. So after internship the CV building and skill building training are provided. It is amazing to know that many reputed and well established names such as Windlas Biotech and RR Cable have started coming to our campus and hiring students as junior managers at a salary of 4 lakhs or so.

UPES CSE Program provide the best insights!

No safety nets for getting admission in UPES as university is strict in taking students. UPES Engineering Admission Test also known as UPESAT has to be cleared. UPES is top class!

I applied at GECET of Graphic Era and gave other entrances too. Apart from JEE, I cleared almost all and only one left was that. UPES has the best facilities!

Assessment test is there but that's not the only way of getting here. There are other ways too and students can go that way like on 12th score or sports quota because there are over 1000 new admission done every year. UPES was the lone place I tried and I got admission too....Read More

Admission are through an entrance for engineering which is called UPESAT. The best thing is the paper can be given anytime as it's online and if students want they can directly come to the university and then give that exam.
