Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum for B.Pharmacy is good, subjects are progressive and aligned with guidelines as required by AICTE. Theoretical subjects like pharmaceutics, Pharmacognosy, Human anatomy & pharmacology are taught with zest and backed by relevant practicals which help us in understanding the technical part of the course. Laboratories are well maintained.
Placement Experience
The placement cell is considerably new as reference to the age of my college but they take active interests in our future and make sure that companies are present for campus recruitment. A good number of students from my batch were placed. As the pharmaceutical zone of Baddi is close by, many companies like Strides, Hetero, Comed, JB chemicals come in annually to hire from my college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees for B.Pharm for entire course is 1.25 lakh Rs, fees for first year is slightly higher around 40,000 Rs because of various charges and fees. Overall the fees structure for the course is on the low end and nominal considering high fees of many pharmacy college around the country. The course if affordable to the needy and helps them to absorb the knowledge.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship is offered to the students of reserved category and also to students who have a yearly income less than 2.5 lakhs. I availed the scholarship on the basis of reserved category to which I belong. The college gives immense opportunity to needy and underprivileged students like me to study such a progressive course.
Campus Life
The laboratories of the college are well maintained. Various equipments and instruments like tablet machine, spectrometer, distillation setup are available in multiple labs that are designated to the different subjects. The chemicals are carefully and systematically laid upon the shelves and the lab assistants are always ready to help.
Admission
I got admission to Chaudhari Bansi Lal University on the basis of my 10+2 scores. Minimum requirements is 50% in 10+2, (47% for reserved category students from Haryana), with compulsory subjects Physics and Chemistry, optional subjects Maths or Biology in 12th. I had also given entrance exam for admission to pharmacy, conducted by AICTE. Then on the basis of ranking on merit list I was called up to counselling round and admission was bestowed upon me.
Faculty
Faculty of the college is well qualified with abundant knowledge of their respective subjects. I remember I had faced problems in understanding pharmaceutics in first year but my professors were there for me, & made sure I understood every concept and had my doubts cleared.
