Best days of my life

I gave IIT JEE entrance examination. I scored 215 out of 490. Although, all the IIT Colleges provide a platform where students get lots of opportunities to explore them-self with the full of support from academics as well as from the surrounding, IIT KGP has the best infrastructure among all the IITs. Hence, i decided to opt for IIT Kharagpur.

The course curriculum was very flexible. while you have some compulsory courses to be done (completely related to your department), you have the chance to choose other subjects from different departments as an elective.For example, I did Major in Economics. However, i did minor in Mathematics and computing.

I did my summer internship as a research assistant at the university of Alberta, Canada in 2014 and in 2013, at Indian statistical institute chennai. Basically, in both the internships, they provided accommodation and covered my day to day expenses.

IIT KGP has Kshitij ( Asia's largest technical fest) which is celebrated in the 3rd week of January. Moreover, Spring fest is the cultural fest which is celebrated in the first week of January. Other than these two important fest, various other fests at management level, Start-Ups are conducted. Large scale participation from the various other colleges are recorded.

The fee at IIT KGP is not that expensive. However, students with their fathers' income less than 2.5 lacks gets MCM scholarship which basically covers the entire semesters fee ( 2 semester in a year) + 12000 annual expenses with SGPA above 7.5 .

Other than MCM scholarship ( which i have just mentioned in the above answer), students who purse Masters in IIT KGP gets Inspire scholarship. Moreover, all the students who pursue M.Tech. Gets scholarship in their final year after qualifying Gate exam.

The campus life is very good. We get the chance to meet the India's best talent. The life is completely adventurous. You get the every chance to fulfill your dreams and the best part if,everyone will support. Other than academics, lots of other activities are there in KGP at the campus level as well as at the hostel level.

On the annual basis, we have alumni meet at IIT KGP. This gives the chance to invite our alumni to campus and to encourage our new students form their seniors.

We have Mid semester ( at the end of 2 months) and end semester exams ( end of the semester in 4 months semester). Other than that, class test, practical exams, presentations are also there which varies from subject to subject and dependents on their professors only.
