The college is one of the finest institutions and is highly under-rated. Our teachers were highly qualified and many of them had PhD's. The college trained us for the practical use of our theories and made us more involved with the industry.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our course curriculum focused a lot on improving our creativity and giving us the space to create a lot of new and current fashion. It was frequently updated to meet the high standards of the fashion industry and its ever evolving concepts of fashion.
Placement Experience
Our college had a very active placement cell. Around 60-70% students found jobs in the industry via our placement cell. Some of the major recruiters of our college students are BlackBerry Clothing, Cheer Sagar, GIVO, Globus, Kapsons, Matrix Clothing, Monte Carlo, and Nahar Group of Industries.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Our course fees is set by the I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University and it was quite feasible. I paid about INR 1.51 Lakh to the college which included a refundable 2,000 rupees. The fee was quite reasonable comparing to the amount cost in other colleges.
Campus Life
Throughout the year, the college arranged for many programs and cultural functions by coordinating with the students. The students were encouraged to do participate in the programs. We also had many workshops to help us improve our skills
Admission
I applied online by paying the NIIFT entrance exam application fee of Rs 1,750. After that i sat for the exam, it consisted of aptitude questions and others. After the exam we had a situation test and a PI. They shortlisted me after taking into account the whole thing.
Faculty
My department faculty consisted of very qualified teachers who were well knowledgable in their fields. The teachers were amazing to work with. The college had a 12:1 student teacher ratio that gave us a lot of access to the teachers.
