4 Golden years

No bad thing. All are good experience throughout those 4 years. Campusing facilities were good. Faculty members had industrial hold also, that could draw some companies for recruitment.

JEE, West Bengal ranked 1058. Selected this CV college as its one of the best engg colleges in India and provides campus recruitment. Selected power engg as that time power plant market was emerging and was showing a good future in the industry.

Engg mechanics, Thermodynamics, Fluid dynamics, Power Plant operations, Power Plant and power plant basics, Elect. Machines, Power transmission and distribution.

Not received such opportunity. Also that time this facility was not very easily available. However I heard that nowadays this facility is being provided by many companies, specially in R&D section.

Campusing started in the 3rd year. Started with Infosys. Lot more other software companies recruited approx 20 students on the 3 rd year itself.Then core sector companies came early 4th year. Companies like siemens, Tata Motors recruited came for campus recruitment. All of the students were absorbed thru campus interviews.

Major event was annual fest, namely FETSU. It used to start in the salt lake campus, namely curtain raiser. Rest of the events used to be held at Jadavpur main campus. Apart from that reunion program, sports are there.

Not expansive at all. It was rs 2400 per year. I used to get free studentship allowance. All the poor students used to get this facilities from the college.

Yes. The united Bank of India's campus branch used to provide that facilities. Also college used to provide free studentship to needy students.

Jadavpur university used to provide all latest facilities to the students. Labs, workshops were all updated with latest facilities.also good vocational training facility was arranged by the college.

Hostel fecility was allowed for students who were from far away places. It was not expansivenand food quality was also very good.

We are always connected thru Facebook, what's app. Apart from that there are separate networks through which we can interact when ever required. It's a good thing. In any emergency people can get help.

Exams happened thru 8 semesters, 2 semesters inneach year. Class tested contributed 50% marked and rest 50% thru semesters. Apart from that a certain percentage was allowed thru projects.

Faculty from both Mech and Elct streams. As it was power engg. Faculty was there from botge mechanical and electrical. Both the faculty members were very knowledgeable and friendly and helpful as well
