Course Curriculum Overview
The college is affiliated to Alagappa University, Karaikudi , Tamilnadu. The three year curriculum includes industrial training for 10 credits, on job training and internal assessment during the course.
Placement Experience
The college has excellent placement record with students working in top hotels as managers. The college is owned by Empee group, one of the leaders on hotel chains across Tamil nadu. Students get placed in any of the hotels owned by the college administration itself.
College Events
Students regularly attend workshops at famous hotels to improve their knowledge. Cuisine wise workshops such as oriental workshop and Italian cooking workshops are organized to learn specific skills on how to cook dishes.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The course fee is affordable at 1.65 lakhs per year and for a three year course, it costs around five lakhs. The students can opt for an educational loan to make up for the payment. Most of the students use this option to pay the fees.
Campus Life
The college conducts many extra curricular activities for the students. There is dance, music and many other indoor games contest such as chess and carrom board. There are many outdoor events such as hiking is also planned for the students.
Admission
The admissions are based on 12th standard marks only. Since I completed three year diploma after completing my 10th standard, I was eligible to lateral entry into the final year of the bachelors course.
Faculty
Faculty in the college are experienced chef and hotel managers. Therefore, they know what is involved in doing this job and they are able to teach at ease on the important concepts to the students. There are both theory and practical classes in equal proportions.
