NIFT, as anyone would say is one of the best design institute in the country. The location is amazing as well. The atmosphere in the campus is excellent and promotes creativity. I loved my time here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is excellent. The focus is on the historic significance, current scenario as well as the future prospects and techniques of the fashion design industry. The exams are mainly practical based.
Placement Experience
The placements are really good. Internships are offered as part of the pre placement offer. Companies like Amazon.com, Bata India, Raymonds etc recruit from our college. Average salary package is around Rs 6 Lakhs per annum.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total fees for the course is Rs 11.09 lakhs for four years. This was a little bit expensive for me personally. But, the opportunity to study at NIFT and the experience here is unmatched. Though some students do apply for student loans.
Campus Life
The college promotes and encourages all kinds of extra curricular activities. The gender ratio is very much even. Sports fields and courts are present. Then there are cultural clubs which regularly organise and celebrate events as well as give the students opportunity to explore their talent.
Admission
The eligibilty criteria for admission in the college requires a 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board with physics, chemistry and maths as subject. I gave the creative ability test and general ability test followed by the situation test. Then there was group discussion and personal interview round.
Faculty
The faculty is highly motivated and interested in the subject. They have many years of practical teaching experience. They also are ready to provide guidance and help to students on an individual basis.
