Best college life.

Only the bad remark what i know is the college is more expensive and the rest are good and also have good remarks about them.

I took an entrance exam of CET through Diploma category and score 560th rank out of 10000 students. As I had done Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, I was not having other options and with my own interest I had opted for Mechanical Engineering even in Diploma. Based on my ranking as well as caste category, I had 2 top colleges in the list to select from which I selected Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering.

The course curriculum was good and was decided by the VTU University of Karnataka. For the last year we had to select 3 electives out of 6 theory subjects.

As it is Bachelors degree, we were not offered any stipend and intern we had to pay the admission fee annually and examination fee bi-yearly. We could able to manage the course fee which would be decided by the college through education loan.

Job opportunities for mechanical engineers are quite less compared to other branches like Computer Science and Electronics. But still some of us were able to get into the job through College placements.

Our college is famous for College fest which used to held every year especially fashion show was the most famous event through out Bangalore region. Technical events like Project exhibition used to happen where journalists and top professors used to visit to know about the projects done by us.

Compared to other colleges, our college is quite expensive as they had to maintain the ambience of the college and had to provide other curricular trainings to the students.

We tried applying for scholarships from our own, but due to lot of terms and conditions like castes and categories were coming into picture, so I did not get any kind of Scholarships. I had applied for Educational loan for which my college helped in providing necessary documents like quotations.

My college was good in all the extracurricular activities but we were less exposed to it as we were more keen on scoring good marks in exams. They use to conduct competitions based on branch wise.

As I was based out of bangalore, I did not opt for hostel so I'm not aware about hostel facilities but from my friends I could able to know that the hostel fees are quite expensive and the same case if I consider about mess food.

I had attended one of the alumni program, where my seniors came and expressed their experiences in their respective work. They shared lot of valuable things which we cannot expose in our college life.

Semester wise exams used to get conducted along with lab exams which has Viva along with practical lab experiments.

Faculty were really good and supporting even the project which we had taken went really good and got appreciation. We had all kinds of lecturers like from freshers to PhD holders with huge knowledge to share with students.
