Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is meticulously planned. Some parts of the course curriculum are outdated and they need to be changed otherwise the curriculum is fine. It is based on practical as well theory. We had to appear for exams regularly at the end of the semester.
Placement Experience
There is a placement and industrial training cell of the institute which arranges training and placement for students. The selection is based upon the merit of academics and the interview round. The students are placed in leading hotels like Taj, Oberoi, I.T.C. Hotels, Le Meridian, Raddison Hotels etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee charges are moderate. It neither too high nor too low. The fee for the course has to be paid every semester. The fee per semester differs between 40,000 rupees and 60,000 rupees. It can be a bit expensive for some. Otherwise, generally speaking, it is affordable.
Campus Life
Our college is situated near the majestic Himalayan ranges. The college is surrounded by lush green trees and it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still well connected through roads. The infrastructure has all the basic facilities like centrally heated classrooms, cafeteria, medical facilities etc. There is an auditorium with a seating capacity of about 600 students and well-equipped labs.
Admission
In order to take admission in Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Nutrition I had to clear the NCHMCT JEE exam. After the exam, if the student meets the cut-off requirement then counselling sessions are held after the shortlisted students are granted admission.
Faculty
The college faculty is well qualified and experienced. Some of them have worked in various prestigious catering institutions and have several years of experience. They are friendly and cooperative with us.
