Course Curriculum Overview

So, there are basically three courses provided at HPNLU which are BA LLB, LLM and PhD. All the courses' syllabus are almost same as rest law university and they follow the same conduct as other law schools.

Placement Experience

Internships opportunities are given to students in their long vacations. For placements companies come at the last year of college. As it is a professional course so anyone can also open their own firm.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees of the course is taken by both yearly as well as half yearly basis. It is quite feasible. You can check at their official website for detailed structure. If anyone cannot afford then there are scholarships also.

Campus Life

University encourages not only academic development but personality development which are through extracurricular activities. Essay competition, debate competition, moot court competition and many more are organized.

Admission

CLAT is the national level entrance examination for law universities. So, HPNLU also takes admission through this. If you got good rank then you can apply for counselling at the university and get the seat.

Student become eligible form 7th semesters, Companies like Amazon, DeShaw, SalesForce, Deloitte, etc visit here and they respectively take a good number of students. Highest package was 80 LPA by DeShaw and average package is around 13 to 15 LPA 93 % students are placed I am also planning to sit in the placements and going in the development feild

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

I chose this course because I liked horticulture .This course is very well applied in real world in cultivation and growing of vegetables, fruits and flowers and horticulture also has job opportunities in private sector. There are some improvements like more practical learning, real world exposure etc. that could be made to make this course more effecgive in real world application. The exams are conducted per semester and the difficulty level of exams is average.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

the selection of HPNLU ,shimla was informed choice given that it was leading NLU and also beacause of its distinct academic atmosphere . comaparision and choice of colleges . as i was applying to the leading NLU`s such as NLSIU, NALSAR and private such as symbiosis law school . although i got admission NLU prayagraj and lower ranked NLU`S . I selected HPNLU due to the tough programe that is being offered and the prestige of NLU label , which is more recognised in legal school communities than most of the private law schools .
