The institute does pioneering work in the field of oilseed production and research work. The outreach to farmers, and helping them deal with day-to-day problems gives me the inspiration and dedication to continue my work.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is not at all stringent. If you are on your schedule for article and book reviews, lab reports, research articles, seminars and field work, then you are free to decide with your supervisor the next logical steps in your research.
Placement Experience
The career development cell focuses on skill development courses. As for the research scholars, there are a few career options to choose from, and most of us are certain that we will get good research and academic positions after this training and experience.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is not applicable for PhD students. Though the stipend we receive has been changing through the time, based mostly on what the government and UGC decide, and also on the experience of the research scholar.
Campus Life
The laboratories of the institute are state of the art facilities with the latest machinery and equipment, and specialized as per the requirements of different divisions. We have many seminars and workshops every year and are sent on regular field programs.
Admission
The admission process is the standardized used by different national institutes. So I saw the call for applications and filled the online application form and was asked to appear for a personal interview. I got selected and was admitted.
Faculty
The faculty of college is illustrious, and their dedication is inspiring. Being in the academic and research field for many years, they are specialists and very knowledgeable and approachable. You can reach out to any of them for help in your research.
