Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is well structured and approved by National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology which includes 24 weeks of industrial training to prepare students for industry. Also exam structure is pretty chill.

Placement Experience

They do provide many internship opportunities and they also provide good stipend according to student's performance in work. I also did internship and my stipend was INR 5500. There are also many placement opportunities for students as there are many companies who visits our college and offers good packages to students Some recruiters are Ambassador Hotel,Barclays Bank,Dominos, hilton, Hyatt, Intercontinental Hotel and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is pretty feasible. Total fees of my course is INR 27,500 which is not expensive at all as because they provide a lot of good services, laboratories, infrastructure to the students. There are also few expenses but that are also not too costly.

Campus Life

They organize many events and extracurricular activities for students to follow and showcase their talent. One of my favourite fest is Kerela food fest and this fest is best among all. Also they have well equipped labs and halls for students.

Admission

For getting admission in Craftsmanship Course in Food Production student must have done 10+2 with aggregate 45% score and along with that student should have English as a main subject. I applied online in this university and then I was called for interview session after that I got admission in this college.

Faculty

Professors are brilliant and provide good study material to the students and are always available to clear student's doubt. Professors also teach with projectors so that student can learn things practically too.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

I chose this course because I liked horticulture .This course is very well applied in real world in cultivation and growing of vegetables, fruits and flowers and horticulture also has job opportunities in private sector. Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

Pros and cons for taking admission in ihm shimla

10+2 people with above 50 percentage can apply for it. And for institute of hotel management shimla they have open direct addmission for the people who didn't get the opportunity to complete their degree.
