Remarks

The college is one of the most reputed ones in all of Odhisha. It is known for its remarkable academic performance amd giving some highly successful engineers to the state. I have been always fascinated with mechanical science and that's why chose this course.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is great. It is highly updated and research oriented. Practicals are conducted at regular intervals. The teachers are also great. They teach with great zeal and enthusiasm. My favourite was Javed sir.

Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement opportunities are great here. As mentioned above, every year it gives to the state some of the finest engineers. Companies like Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Flipkart, Volvo etc recruit students at very handsome packages.

College Events

The campus life is very peaceful and educational. Everyone is mostly concerned with theri studies and hence there are few distractions. The college also holds many cultural fests which are a good break from our studies and refresh our minds.

Campus Life

The campus is very big, so big that you may even get lost here. The large campus is coupled with well maintained classrooms and buildings, good wifi facilities and beautiful fauna, which enhances the beauty of the campus.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good. They are equipped with all the basic amenities- electricity os available 24 hrs a day, the water is purified and safe, the food served is of good quality. They even serve non vegs twice a week.

Admission

To get admission here, you need to qualify AIEEE and Odhisha JEE first.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Life at BGU

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

Remarks:

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.

I took 2 entrance one AIEEE and another is Odisha JEE. To get admitted in any engineering college in odisha we must have took above entrance with out valid rank they will not allow to get admission on any college in odisha. OJEE entrance is for all BPUT affiliated college. so if we want to join any college we must have took OJEE entrance.As it was newly opened at my time,for better future i choose it....Read More
