Remarks

I chose REC because it is a very esteemed institution in TamilNadu and is located in the capital city, Chennai. REC has so many clubs and committees so that students will get to know how to perform multi tasking. REC also offers so many extra courses and REC has shown amazing placement records.

Course Curriculum Overview

REC has become autonomous now. REC has chosen latest topics and technologies and help students become industry ready. REC also takes students for Industrial visit every semester for all the departments. Faculties are so kind and they are experts in their specializations.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Mobius - software developer IIM B Eximius- Co-Manager

Placement Experience

Top companies such as Amazon, TCS, Accenture, Hyundai Motors, Renault Nissan, Zoho and Pega Systems visited the campus this year to recruit students. Students in my batch were placed in both core and IT companies. TCS select biotech students also. Companies like Zifo, Concept tree, Byjus, Episource, Omics, and a few others come for recruitment.

College Events

Every year, all the departments of REC will conduct technical symposium for the engineering students and there will be an annual sports meet and cultural fest happening for a week. Technical symposium happens for 1 or 2 days and apart from that REC also conducts several Hackathons and other competitions for all the Engineering students.

Campus Life

REC has the best infrastructure with separate buildings for different departments, cafes at various places, library, incubation centres, Techlounge, hostels for boys and girls, CCD, xerox shops, stationary shops, maggi shops, administration offices, health centre, labs for all the departments, and much more.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

GOOD PLACEMENT RECORD

Admission:

I got 1150 out of 1200 in my 12th grade. 199 out of my cut off mark 200 for merit.Application for Engineering and Medical Counseling. Selected in both. But I prefer M.B.B.S than aeronautical engineering. I went to counseling in Chennai and then chose Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital in Tamil Nadu.

I got seat at srm chennai but it was too long for me and it couldnt manage the travel because i should catch the bus at morning 6 am and i will return to home around 5 50pm. So nearly 12 hours. So rejected it and choose rec chennai because it is near to my location. I will catch the bus at 6 55 am and i will come to home at 4 15 pm. I wasnt applied to other clg so there is no rejection.Simple admission process just show ur orginal 12th certificate and cutoff marks.If your abive 80% cutoff u can pay minimum donation if doesnt enough for the course which u applied. Counselling is the better way to avoid donations and cutoffs may change for the caste....Read More
