Remarks
The main factor that made me choose this college was it's placement offers. This college provides a great opportunity to get placed in the top industries. Furthermore, this college is one among the top colleges in Tamil Nadu. It is housed in architecturally exquisite buildings with ample infrastructure such as classrooms, laboratories, libraries, sports arena, canteen, hostels, dispensary, bank etc. The placement percentage of the college is 96 which is excellent compared to the other colleges. The Highest placement offers of Rs.25 LPA and 20 LPA in PayPal and Amazon respectively. I am damn sure that you cannot find a better campus anywhere in Anna university's affiliate colleges barring a few like SSN. The campus is very much green with a lot of free spaces, the department buildings are present in the opening half of the campus while the classroom blocks are scattered throughout.
Course Curriculum Overview
Every department has a decent amount of professors who have got their Ph.D?s and are now performing cutting-edge research in their respective fields. I would like to give a special mention to departments of Mathematics and Humanities who have by far the most knowledgeable and driven faculty.
Placement Experience
A lot of people recommended me to join this college for its placements. The placements here are pretty decent. If you from one of the circuit branches (CSE, IT, ECE, EEE) and possess a good skill set along with some basic communication skills and aptitude, you are bound to get placed with a package varying from 8 LPA ? 12 LPA. If you possess only the latter, you will be recruited by one of the mass recruiters. There a decent number of companies visiting for core branches too. The college has a dedicated Placement cell which does a good job in providing training to all the students starting from the first year itself.
College Events
There are two very active clubs called HOPE & CARE (HOPE is a student organization, the college has nothing to do with it) Other clubs are not that active if they exist at all. There is of course the usual NSS and NCC.
Campus Life
By facilities, I mean the labs, their equipment and other such things. Each department has its labs situated in their own buildings. The apparatus and equipment are maintained in the way they are maintained anywhere else. To be short the laboratory experience is very much old school. Each department has its own library where you can find previous years' theses and magazines at most. If you are told that the campus has a brilliant WiFi facility then I am sorry because you won't get a signal even under the so-called WiFi hubs. The food available here is ok, But believe me whatever you buy will be at a huge risk of being confiscated by the monkeys.
Hostel Facilities
I am a day scholar and do not have much idea about the hostel. However, I have heard my friends say that the food in the mess is not great and sometimes they receive brackish water from the taps. Nevertheless, they have a lot of fun as the college gives them a lot of freedom to pursue their interests.
