Remarks
One of the best colleges in Karnataka, good placements and awesome campus. Among the engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka, NITK is the best no two questions about it. Only college to boast a private beach in its campus. The 300 plus acre campus is splendid, there's lot and lots of greenery, heads up get ready to walk alot :D. The infrastructure in college is average nothing very special about it, maybe private collegea provide better. Other important factor is your peers in college, because nits attract top minds from all over the country you'll get lot of exposure.
Course Curriculum Overview
I felt the curriculum was mostly outdated but the assignments and projects were really good. Also because top minds from all over the country enter nits, interacting among peers gives you a very good idea of present trends. As for faculties it is same as every college, some are good, some bad and some just don't care.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities are abundant, more than 250 companies visit the campus for recruitment. It is like a heaven for circuit branch students. Crore placements are little dull in comparison to IT placements. But because of the sheer number of companies that visit, there is an opportunity for everyone to land a good job. Many people bag multiple offers. I was one among them.
College Events
Campus life was the highlight of my B Tech, It was just amazing. Campus is huge and beautiful. And there are countless activities to do, so you'll never feel bored.Our main two fests are 'Engineer' I. E our technical fest it is pretty huge there'll be so many competitions happening you'll be overwhelmed.Our cultural fest is called Incident, it is the biggest cultural fest of the region.
