Remarks

My college was very lenient with us and there were ups and downs but I enjoyed my college life and the teachers were quite helpful. With regards to the fees, the college should rethink and lower the fees for deserving students.

Entrance Preview

I took MHCET test and scored 60% marks and after that I choose this college as it was easier to get admission here and the college is reputed and well known. I choose the course because all my cousins are engineers and it was the best option for me as I scored a distinction in my HSC exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum was good and the teachers used to cover almost 90% of the syllabus and also they had extra classes during the examinations where we could interact with the teachers and get our assignments checked. The teachers were cooperative and helpful.

Internships Opportunities

My internship experience was good enough but it could have been better if the papers during our tests were more strict and contained questions that were chosen from earlier test papers. Some students used to score more marks as they were merit students which I felt was unfair. Stipend offered was in the range of Rs. 3000-Rs. 5000.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements are really good. The placement officer invited many big companies like TCS, Wipro and there were tests and interviews conducted from time to time making sure that most students get placed in the appropriate companies. The placement officer was helpful in guiding the students.

College Events

4

There were many fests held in the college twice a year and celebrities used to be judges for these events. Students used to contribute and conduct events where seniors used to take part in and win prizes. There were educative games as well held in the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees were expensive compared to other colleges but since the teaching was fine, I dint mind paying the amount. There were tuition & development fees, university and library fees which all students had to pay.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college dint offer me any scholarship but I got a scholarship from the Government due to my marks scored in HSC and half my fees were refunded. There was no loan facility though.

Campus Life

3

The campus life was fun and hectic at the same time. While teachers were a bit strict, students were fun to interact with. There were extra curricular activities conducted and students were encouraged to participate in it and bring out our talent. Labs, Workshops and Robotics were also a part of the curriculum and we were explained everything in a detailed manner.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facilities were very good. We 3 girls used to stay in one room and there weren't strict rules to follow like other hostels. It was a warm environment and the food was quite tasty. They offered us variety of dishes and the fees too weren't high.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students were helpful and if we had any doubts, we could ask them to help us whether it was our project work or organizing any event. they were always there for us and they supported us a lot.

Exam Structure

The exam structure was convenient for me as we had enough time to study and attend college and prepare for our exams. There were exams held from time to time, making sure students could cope up with the syllabus and be prepared for the final exams. It was

Faculty

3.5

The faculty was great in teaching and helping us with assignments. However sometimes I used to find them biased towards merit students and they used to grade me lesser than the other students because of their marks in board exams which I felt was unfair.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
