Entrance Preview

I get admission in this college through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination ( WBJEE ).I want to study in core subjects,and my first choice was Electrical Engineering,so after seeing that I will not me able to get admit in any Govt. college because it was already full,and I did not have a superior rank, I opt for this one.

Internships Opportunities

No, our college did not provide us internships but provided some industrial visits and also arranged some vocational training on Soft skills, PLC & other training according to their respective branches.

Placement Experience

1.5

In the placement field I must say it was poor.Many software companies do visited our college but one or two from the core sector & was also giving low salary as per requirements. Besides this in our batch many got placed through pool campus also.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes scholarship facilities are there for SC/ST and minorities. Besides this if a student cant continue its education due to financial problem the college assists him/her with half fee or full fee scholarships. For the loan facility a branch of Bank of India is adjacent to our college building inside the college premises.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
