Remarks
This college is near to my household. This college is having good facilities for a student who is willing to take Pharmacy courses. This college is managed by North Malabar development society. This college comes under KUHS and is approved by UGC and AICTE. The college is situated in Madayipara of Payangadi. The college also offers Diploma in Pharmacy, B.pharm, M.pharm and Pharm.D. I opted this course because I could serve my community as a pharmacist.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course B.pharm was updated in 2017. The exams are conducted every semester. I felt that semester wise system is very inconvenient for the students and staffs as there is not enough time for each of the subject to get a better knowledge. There is a total of 8 semesters in 4 years. One of the major disappointment I felt about the college is they doesn't provide us with industrial exposure.
Placement Experience
Our college doesn't give any consideration for the placement of the students. This is very disappointing from the side if our college. There wasn't any company that have came forward to provide placement to the students in our college. The job opportunities for a B.pharm graduates is to become a pharmacist either in a community pharmacy or in a hospital pharmacy. Some graduates also get Government job but very less. B.pharm graduates also can get a job in pharma industry.
College Events
The college had conducted many programs every year. Mainly the indoor programs like arts day and college day is conducted in the college auditorium. Festival events are also conducted by the college. Many educational programs had also conducted in our college.
