Only college/university offering bachelor of fisheries science degree in Kerala. Located at Panangad, Ernakulam. Campus stretching around an acre. Reputed faculty members and good job opportunities are said to be available.
Course Curriculum Overview
Syllabus is updated and the course consisys of 8 semesters with about 10 courses in each sem until 6th sem and the last 2 sems RAWE and ELP. Experienced faculty. Field experience is mainly in the 4th year although we get some sort of it from the farms in the campus as well as through project works.
Placement Experience
Placements are available both in the public and private sectors. But the number of vacancies in the public sector is less and the competition is usually high. Good scope abroad. However furthur studying innthe field can assure better job opportunities.
College Events
The campus is very much environment friendly and always keeps the students fresh.Various cultural activities are hosted. All of the departments celebrate functions together and usually a large crowd develops due to the large number of students studying here.
Campus Life
Not highly equipped in terms of infrastructure. Constructions are underway. Size of the library is very small compared to the number of students studying in the university. Classroms are being modified and new laboratories are also being set up.
Hostel Facilities
UG hostel is available to the students only after about a year of their college life. Until then stay has to be found at the various private hostels and private guest facilities that are available in plenty in the locality.The mess bill usually stays within 3000.
