Course Curriculum Overview
well, the course curriculum is good. It is quite different from B.COM HONS because language subject such as Hindi is taught in the B.COM(PROGRAMME). Some INDUSTRIAL EXPOSURE was provided in my first semester under Business Organisation And Management subject taught by Pushpendra sir. Faculty was good in first year. In my second year, it got much better. Also during COVID situation, teachers are conducting online classes seriously and are giving assignments.
Placement Experience
There was a start up called METVY by my super seniors.Alumni network is quite good i would say. Being a comsoc member, is helping me to interact with comsoc alumni.The placement cell of KMC is very good. During 2018-19, PC placed 88 students in total, 72.4% of them were commerce students.
College Events
All around the year, various events by various societies are held in the college. also, there is a diwali mela around diwali festival. I went to the mela, it was very appealing and entertaining. apart from it, college conducts an annual fest "RENAISSANCE" also.I've been part of commerce society of KMC, the events that we organised were APPULSE and ADVENT. These were basically game events for commerce students from all colleges. My experience through out 1st year had been great.Elections are also held. It is that time of the year when everybody around you is campaigning for votes.Also, one point i missed was about freshers. The college conducts freshers as well as there are society freshers and departmental freshers. same goes for farewell too.
Fees and Financial Aid
NO i have not availed any loan etc from college. There might be some quotas, scholarships etc i don't know of.
Campus Life
Campus infrastructure is nice. Obviously those red buildings look really good.AC is provided in some of the classrooms. library lawn and Ashoka garden are some good places to sit with your friends and chill. Here's where most of the society meetings are held. Apart from it, there's girls common room(air conditioned) as well as boys common room. Library is also big and air conditioned. Our college library also issues laptops to the students. I have not availed that facility yet.We have a conference room and academic auditorium which are fully air conditioned. although, there is no big auditorium in the college, the one which was built got destroyed in a fire years ago. WIFI IS NOT GOOD HERE. You'll not get your mobile network in most of the classrooms.There's a sports ground too with sports equipment room.Canteen is also there. They provide snacks as well as thaali for a very affordable price.
Hostel Facilities
KMC DOES NOT provide Girls hostel. That is why you need to live in PG. Average rental is around 12000 rs per month. However, i pay 15000 per month (sharing of four). Rental varies from location to location. PGs in kamla nagar, vijay nagar, malkaganj are relatively cheap than PGs in roop nagar and shakti nagar.
