Remarks

This is the college near my house that provides B.pharm course. The college runs under the management of North Malabar development society. It is affiliated to KUHS and approved by Pharmacy council of India and AICTE. This college is situated in Madayipara near to the Payangadi Railway Station and Payangadi Bus stand. I can reach the college by bus.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course B.pharm is somewhat similar to medical course. Many subjects are related to medicines and it's effect towards human body. The course also includes the preparation of pharmaceuticals in the laboratory. Half of the class would be theory and the other half would be practical. The syllabus wad updated on 2017. There would be 8 semesters in 4 years.

Class Size: 64Course Fees: INR 450000 per year

Placement Experience

0.5

After completing the course, many of them finds a job in a pharmacy. The graduated students can also start their own Pharmacy with their license. Our college doesn't provide placement or job opportunity in companies or pharmacies.

College Events

Our college have conducted many programs related to our career. One of the program was collaborated with IIT Madras. Our college also celebrates the festivals including Onam and Christmas. Sports and Arts day is also conducted by the college. The college have its own auditorium which can occupy all the students and staffs.

Placement Experience:

Towards the fourth year, students become eligible for campus placement. There are no companies visited . The average package is above 10000for per month. Almost 45% of students get placements. After getting the degree I want to work as a staff nurse.

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.

The course doesn't require any entrance exam. Eligibility is to pass plus two in science with min. of 50%. Application is through Akshaya centres. The application fee is about Rs100. Crescent college is one of the best college in Kannur that provides the course B.pharm. They also provide other pharmacy courses like D.pharm and Pharm.D.
