Anonymous's Review On Tamil Nadu Agricultural University - [TNAU], Coimbatore

I thought agriculture was the next best option since I didn't get a medical seat. I was not personally interested in engineering. The coimbatore campus is the priority campus. I did like the ambience and peaceful atmosphere of the university.

The schedule is hectic and demands physical work. The library is too good with a vast variety of books. We have a very good exposure to diverse crops as a wide variety of them can be grown due to the condusive climate of coimbatore. We have a lot of field trips, short tours and farmer's visit.

A number of agro companies come for campus interviews. The Centre for Students Welfare facilitates such activities and gives an exposure to students about the various job avenues available.

We do have a little of culturals, each department holds a function in a year. There are around 13 student clubs and each clubs has a particular set of activities related to them. The university celebrates every day of national and international importance. We also have the opportunity to attend guest lectures, motivational speeches, personality development workshops and several other awareness programmes.

We have a ground with provisions to play different sports, a swimming pool, a gym and a badminton court. There is a free wifi zone near the library. The labs are highly equipped with instruments and high tech devices especially the departments like biotechnology, microbiology and nanotechnology.

The hostel facilities are good and the room is to be shared with 3 other people. The college is mostly residential. The UG students are requested to own a bicycle as the campus is eco-friendly. This is a dire need since the campus is too large to navigate and every practical class demands the student to go to different departments
