Remarks

Reputation and placement facility. Reviews of many of the passed out graduates of our university. Also the transparency in admission criteria.I opted for biotechnology because of my interest in that upcoming field of science

Course Curriculum Overview

Syllabus was updated and is being updated regularly. Well trained staff who had vast knowledge on the field. Extraordinary lab facilities and moreover dedicated research facilities which offer number of opportunities for the upcoming scientists

Class Size: 52Course Fees: INR 360000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are very good. Every year many companies like TCS, L AND T, Musigma hire many students from sastra.

College Events

Cultural team was very great. Only thing which kept every student and faculty to enjoy very much was the culturals in SASTRA. Infact SASTRA holds the overall championship of culturals held at NIT trichy and also VIT

Campus Life

Very good infrastructure which up to date advancements in every possible way. Some buildings were old. Hostel were poor In all aspects. Library was updated every year with new books. Lab and equipments were also updated

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms of some hostels were spacious and good. Some were poor.cramped and common bathroom toilets were a big issue in some. Average rent was around 8k for a hostel. It varied with facility.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

GOOD PLACEMENT RECORD

Admission:

I got 1150 out of 1200 in my 12th grade. 199 out of my cut off mark 200 for merit.Application for Engineering and Medical Counseling. Selected in both. But I prefer M.B.B.S than aeronautical engineering. I went to counseling in Chennai and then chose Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital in Tamil Nadu.

Yaahh I had appyfor other colleaes also like lpu ,vit, EAMCET.. reason is why iam not joined in that college is to 1.in lpu I got seat alsoo but that college is soo waast and for me it will be more distance.2.in vit i didn't get cse so I rejected it .in EAMCET i am not interested I got below 20k rank but...not went to that .
