Plethora of knowledge for the pupil who want it.

I took CAT with 69 percentile score. I chose UPES because it offers domain specific courses such as oil and gas, aviation, energy, power, logistics etc. Another reason was it is near my home. The admission process has 3 legs. First submission of documents and scheduling of further process.

Oil and Gas domain course caters to the curious mind as it helps build on so much common man does not know. Every subject from finance to law to marketing is structured around oil and gas industry. Obviously no one can cover everything in 2 years but its very good from knowledge point of view.

MBA does not have internships. As far as i know. There must be some information available on site or you can call office HR.

Earlier PSUs used to recruit from college. Which was its USP for time. In 2014 big companies did come with packages upward of 7.5 lpa but took very few people. Majority of students landed up with average package of 4 lpa. Estimated average. Few students got out of college offers too.

The fee for mba program is around 10 lacs for 2 year course. The hostel and mess is around 80,000 per semester. The ROI on the fees after job is poor. Fees is feasible for well do to but expensive for general class given returns are bad. If you want to avail transport that would be arouns 30,000 more per year.

I am not aware of loan faciliated by college although any bank would willingly give education loan. Scholarship were awarded to meritorious students post results. Means first year toppers would get money in second year in form of fee cut or cheque.

Gender ratio would be around 4:1. Student dorm parties are not allowed in campus. Workshops cultural events were organised all year around. There is no discrimination based on color caste sex race ethnicity or political or economical status. The teachers as well as students were from pan India.
