Remarks

JIST is the only college in upper assam where bsc CS N IT is. The faculty of is too good. They give a good knowledge on practical words also. This college provide good campus for the students like amazon, vodafone, oil india etc

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is not too updated bt still we can learn many topics.The faculty is good. According to me one of the good faculty is Bobita maam. She teach us different subjects like electronics, introduction to information technology

College Events

The technical part of jist is not too good. Culture activities on this college is awesome. Our college fest is abhiyantrix which is one of the biggest fest in jorhat. Many participations are there like unplugged, battles of bands etc

Campus Life

Infrastructure is good and sports facility is also good. The library is large. Equipments in lab is sufficient. We have many sports facilities like basketball court, football field, volleyball court etc.

I love to explore the novels of great writers so i choose the English literature to complete my bachelor degree . The course enhanced the thinking of mine and upgrade the knowledge of literature . I don't think they need a improvement on teaching . But exam timing isn't fine . 9 AM isn't untolarable we can't reached the college too early

After the 6th sem placement season starts. The intern season takes place at the end of the 4th sem. The placement of the college is extremely good. The average package of the college is around 21 lakhs. That of CSE is 41 lakhs. Mncs is 35 lakhs etc. Projected package of my branch DSAI is 40 lakhs.

I chose JIST because of its balance between affordability, academic structure and accessibility compare to many private engineering colleges JIST offers a government aided set up with lower fee which was an important factor for me at the same time. It provides a stable academic environment with focused engineering curriculum, other reason was location JIST is situated in Jorhat, which is relatively well-connected and has a calm academic atmosphere compared to colleges in bigger cities.
