A Brief Review of Tezpur University

This is one of the premier Institutions of India. Everything of this university is good. One can approach to study here.

There are 10 semester in the integrated programme where UG and PG are combined together, i.e. 5 years course duration. In every semester we have 4 exams such as 1st test, midterm, 3rd test and end semester.The curriculum is related to daily life activities and helps in growing our personalities as well which also helps us growing our industry specific knowledge. This helps us ultimately getting chance and securing jobs in campus recruitment. Thus, campus placement is good. Moreover, various industries and corporate sectors come here for campus recruitment to pick students for various jobs.

Here in my institution, placement of students is good enough. Though I am from Humanities and Social Sciences that's why in my field placement bis slightly less in comparison with engineering. Still, various schools like VKV, DPS etc. come to pick students as teacher.Tentative percentage of students getting placed every year is approximately 65%.And also university takes several steps to prepare students for campus recruitment by conducting various seminars, campus internships by various skilled invited specialists during placement season.

A big technical cum cultural fest is organized here every year named "TechXetra". Also in engineering verious robotics fest are organised and also a science fest is organized on National Science Day (28 February) in every year named "Inscignis".Events are very big and well organized. Participation of the students are also good. Students from outside the institution come and participate in the events too.

The fee is very reasonable as it's a central university. Per semester a student have to take admission which includes hostel admission also. In my course, every semester we have to pay 11000 rupees including hostel admission and there is no extra fees to be paid in order to secure an admission as the admission process completely based on merit basis.Yes, university provides 100% transparency in the fee breakdown matters.

No, university doesn't provide any scholarship to students. But it allows students to apply for other govt. scheme scholarships.

Gender ratio in my Institution is boys:girls= 2:3, there are more girls than boys in the university. Hostel facility for both boys and girls are good. No dormitory, only two seater and single seater rooms are provided to students.Good workshop facilities are also there in the university. I myself last year participated in a creative writing workshop.Cultural background and cultural activities are highly active in here. There are different culture students from various cultural background societies. And both the gender are equally treated here. No gender stereotype is performed here by anyone. Also ethnicity that means ethnic culture of both local Assam and the India is highly maintained in a balanced way.Race is not a major issue here. Everyone out there equally treated and live in harmony and peace.No religious controversy is found here. Everyone enjoys their own religion happily without any chaos and violence.Politics is less active here. Here there is no union body instead there is a council here which is formed by university students itself only without any political party influence. Economic status of the university as well as the pupils of here are also good. And economically weaker students get some privileges by obtaining concessions in studies.

Yes, I'm a boarder of a hostel of this university. Here, there is no need of PGs because number of students get enrolled is equal to total accommodation capacity in the university.Hostel rooms are very good and well equipped with bed, table, chair, wardrobe, light, fan etc. Both the single and double seater rooms are available here. Also for research scholars there are separate hostel facility with much better rooms( single rooms) are also available.

They are very helpful. If one current student has any kind of issue regarding anything related to the institution and he/she can freely contact to any alumni and gets favourable response at any time.

I was interested in Humanities and Social Sciences. Also, I feel like studying English literature as I have a keen interest in it.The factors that made me choose this institution were-* it's a reputed institution.* Its fascinating and good infrastructure.* Good teaching quality.* Good job opportunities.* Good facilities including hostel, library, sports, gymnasium, swimming etc.The steps followed as a part of the admission procedure for the institution- * Online form fillup and online payment and also one can make payment through offline by bank challan.* Then entrance examinations are taken place for respective courses.* The results are out and one get chance to get admitted here according to merit list.

Per subject in my course, there are 5 lectures in a week based in credit system and each of 1 hour lecture.All the professors are of average age from 30 to 55. They are highly qualified with proper experience of teaching holding various experience certificates in different fields. They provide very good lectures on each subject with much clarity.
