Remarks

College administration is working very well in nurturing not only personal with good technical skills but also helping in shaping leaders. Only issue with infected is many times some of the faculty members and HOD are very much judgemental and they won't listen to you and can cut your marks. This sometimes de motivate students a lot. Recruiting more faculty with industry experience helps a lot. Overall I had very wonderful experience in those 4 years.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is up to date to industry apart from few subjects. You will gain enough hands on experience in your lab subjects. There are unit tests which is mostly objective. And final exam. Apart from that attendance is something which is also fetch marks. Most the companies coming for placement asks technical questions from your subjects only.

Placement Experience

5

Placement is pretty good in PES University. A large batch size though poses some issue. But if you are from cs, electronics branch then rest assure you will be paid well. Most of the companies will start coming after the end of third year. More than 100 top companies come to recruit for it industry. I was in mechanical engineering branch. Still I got placed in two companies and got one internship in my last semester. Placement is coordinated by 4th year student and placement chair. Most of the company follow one general aptitude round followed by technical round. Then interview in two round(one technical and one HR round). If you are good enough you will be surely placed. Apart from technical skills you must have communication skills also to get placed in companies offering more than 15 lakh.

College Events

4

Aatmatrisha is the annual festival for which everyone keeps waiting. Samarpana is dedicated for Indian army. Ninada is cultural night. Many a is also another cultural festival. Prakalpa is the tech fest of the college. Aatmatrisha is the biggest festival where some celebrities from bollywood comes. In Prakalpa students from colleges across the state participate with their innovative projects.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is available on their website and can be easily accessible to anyone. Fee is bit high for people who join through Pessat. If you join college by giving cet then fee is 48k/year. Though they provide over all cost breakup of the fee but you won't be able to see much details.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is option for scholarships for weekends section provided by the college based on merit list. I opted for education loan from my hometown bank. It was of 4 lakh. I got it pretty easily. Just I have to submit my fee structure and admission letter. Further I have to keep submitting my grade sheet to continue with the loan. All extra money was incurred by me apart from this 4 lakh. MRD scholarships is the best. Also if you are among the top 10 percentile then they offer scholarship of fee vaviour. Distinction award is also provided.

Campus Life

Studying in pesit provides you an immense opportunity to participate in some of the best competition in India and also around the world. Gender ratio depends on the branch and course you are taking. But you will get see quite diverse batch with students all parts of india. And in MBA there are students from middle east countries also. Some of the prominent clubs are HAYA(Automobile club), Aeolus( small aviation aerial robotics) then there are rotract and e-cell. You don't have to think about tolerance or any kind of biased behavior related to this. As most of the people care about their own work and won't interfere with anyone else. Being located in bangalore students go out for party as well. And girls hostel organize their own parties.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels seats are limited. I used to stay outside of Pes University. You will get enough PG and flats around the college. Hostel offers food facilities for both South and North Indian foods. And laundry facilities. Outside PG mostly offers accommodation only. Average rental carries from 2500 to 5000 per month based on room type and its location. Various South Indian and North Indian mess are available outside the college. And one time luncch/dinner costs around Rs 50-60.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is quite helpful. You can also reach out to them for reference in job or any other help. Their is Pesit alumni portal also available.

Admission

As bangalore is a city where lots of established as well startups are present. Further if you don't get admission in any nit or iit then bangalore is one obvious choice for all engineering students. I got admitted through comedk. But now Pes University takes its own entrance test i.e. Pessat. You can register for Pessat at cost of 1050. Then interview process happens after the exam. Students can also opt for management quota. Students from Karnataka can take admission based on cet merit list.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculties are very much accessible you can go directly to them and they will be ready to help. There is a good mixture of young and experienced faculty. Yeah you need to be careful with some of the older faculty members as they take discipline as core value of teaching. Average age would of the faculty member would be around 42 years. Many of them come after working in industry for minimum 4-5 years. And they can give you insight related to it. If you are from Karnataka then most of the time they will make you understand in local language. Sometimes it is problematic for outside students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
