Entrance Preview

I will be appearing for CAT in November this year. I want to go in the world of finance. So I will be doing MBA in finance .

Course Curriculum Overview

To be honest the course curriculum is not revised at all. The same things are taught for the past 10-12 years many of them have been from the real life .For example Hire purchase have been from real life but still it exists in our syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

There is a really nice placement cell in the college which handles all the companies. I didn't sit in any of the placements for internships, so I really dont have the knowledge regarding this.

Placement Experience

Many top companies like EY, KPMG, L&T , etc came to the college and nearly 20 students were placed in each of these companies .Around 70% students were placed in the college placements. The highest package was for Rs 350000 given by EY .Mainly the profile was accounts related.Placement cell did a great job. Nearly 50 companies came for the campus recruitment.

The best thing about Delhi University is that something is going on in the college Jan-March is full of college fest There are 2 types of fest. One is the department fest and second one is the college main fest. Its quite happening there are star performances yummy food and amazing performances.

Fees and Financial Aid

No Nothing as such was offered .There was no loan facility too And I really dont think paying the fees would have been a hard task as the fees was too low.

Campus Life

There was a equal girl boy ratio in college. They was a sports day and even inter department competitions . So it was fun experience There were many inter college competitions like Ad-mad, street play, debate, etcIt was fun to watch plus to get so much to learn from all these things.

Exam Structure

The Exam structure is really good with a alot of days of gap between each exams. There are around 4-5 subjects per semesterBefore the main exams there are internals to the main exams are for 75 marks. Whereas internals are for 20 marksand 5 marks for the attendance .

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

The curriculum is very interesting & it teaches you a lot about the entrepreneurship. Specially in the field of commerce it gives you the right information and exposure to the real world. Subjects like Corporate law , business law , Cost accounting and etc teaches you a lot about practicality.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Honest review of SLC

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I have applied for I have applied for few of the north campus colleges and few other colleges from the South campus. I got confirmed admission form DCAC. I chose it because I am a tabla player and music society is very good. The admissions are generally accepted to CUET UG examination. No I didn't applied for any other college and I choose this college over other college because of the course and the exposure which I get in this college it might be possible I will not get in any other college.
