Nice college among private colleges

Actually, I wanted to for medical colleges but since I did not get admission in any of the medical colleges, I had to go for engineering. The admissions in this college are mainly on the basis of 12th class percentage. They also take admissions on the basis of AIEEE ranks but these exams are not necessary for admission in this college.

The course syllabus is divided according to the different semesters. Each year has two semesters. The first year is common to all the streams. All the difficult subjects are covered in the 2nd and 3rd year leaving only the light subjects for the final year so that students can prepare for GATE or other entrance exams.

Summer training/internship is to be done at the end of every year. The college does not provide any internship. Students have to arrange for it by themselves from outside the college. College only helps in its paperwork, that is, it only provides the internship letters and training letters.

Companies do often visit for computer science, electronics and information technology streams. No company for civil stream has ever visited the college campus. Their is good placement only for CS, IT and Electronics department. Few of the placements in last batch were- NIIT technologies (8 students), Real time data services(3 students), Secugenius security solutions (15 students), Mindfire technologies(22 students), clearpath technologies (6 students), saket metals(5 students), CMS infosystem(3 students), Indian army(2 studenta).

The college organizes techno cultural fest every year in the month of November. It is organized for 2 days. The last fest was organized recently on 8th and 9th of this November. It involves many technical, cultural activities. Events like Fashion show, Dance competition, Singing competition, Rock Concert, EDM night, Comedy acts, etc were held in this fest. There were many other such activities.

The college fees is expensive. It was about INR 1.08 lacs/year the year I took admission. The fees increases every year. The last year it was about INR 1.25 lacs/year. The fees for each year can be paid in two installments with one installment per semester.

There is not much of interaction between seniors and juniors. Only few of the juniors and seniors are involved with each other. One the alumni who live near my area recommended this college to me. He said only good things about this college and I liked them.

Exam structure used to be very lenient with 2-3 days leave between two exams so as to allow the students to prepare for the subjects. But the last two exams schedule were very hectic with only one day leave in between two exams. Students have to complete the entire syllabus in only one day.The labs exams do not need any holidays to prepare for but they are always provided with atleast one day leave.
