Remarks

It was good experience regarding location of the college since it was outside city limits it was quite and peaceful I loved to go to college, staff was fair, campus and infrastructure was poor compared to other colleges in Mysore, friends were good supportive management was poor

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Mechanical Engineering, course was 4 year's with 1st and second semester common for all branches out of 8 semester and final project thesis submission curriculum was governed by AICTE, VTU, college was new and did not have dedicated campus placement had tie up with few colleges opportunity was limited, yes industry visit was organised by college

Placement Experience

1

We didn't have dedicated campus placement cell we had very limited opportunities for getting job, college had tie up with few colleges where we were all allowed to participate in the campus may be 2 -5% got selected in campus, no special campus placement and officers to help facilitate campus placement

College Events

2.5

Annual day festival, national festivals, sports day, they are single day events organised by a committee with proper planning, rules and regulations, they were all very good and full of entertainment every one enjoyed the programs, I was more interested in sports

Fee Structure And Facilities

Genral merit college fee is ok around 17000 rs per year, management fee is expensive around 50000 rs per year only rich people can afford it, I got free seat government fee was 11000 and around 6000 rs was for college management it was expensive at that point of time for me

Fees and Financial Aid

My parents were able to pay my college fees with their savings I did not opt for banking loan support, few of my friends had opted for bank loan it was straight forward and interest rates were high and those days no other option available

Campus Life

Since our course was Mechanical engineering only 1 girl was there and we were 34, we had parties occasionally we were mostly from Karnataka very few of them were from Northern part of India,we had good bonding and understanding among all of us it was very good memories

Hostel Facilities

No I was local guy and the college and my home town in the same place anyhow I did have friends who stayed in hostel but it was not good cost was less but did not have any facilities even food and cleanliness was not good

Alumni/Alumna

Since it was a new college, and we were 4th batch for the college did not have any dedicated alumni and we were new for all these things, however we got little information from seniors since even they were struggling to get job opportunities many of them had plans to study further

Admission

Complete Karnataka state pre University board exam, attend CET exam (common entrance test) after the ranking is released, based on ranking dates will be allocated to select seats is colleges, Good Ranking will help get seat in top colleges or else if seat is required in top colleges need to choose management seat which is expensive

Faculty

2.5

Mechanical Engineering department had close to 8 members with 6 permanent experienced members and 2 members temporary and less experienced, 1 HOD with tool design expertise and PHD, and 2 experienced senior lecturers with. Expertise in operations management and project management

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
