The Metamorphic three years

I don't have any bad remarks about my college. When I first entered it I never had thought that I would live the best three years of my life here.

The course curriculum is vivid and research driven. It covers all the eminent eras of revolutions in literature around the world. It overall amplifies the value of reading great works by the authors and it helps to completely understand the indepth meanings and emotions of the era. The course helped me open an entire plethora of knowledge I didn't know about. Also reading the passionate works of the famous authors helped me polish my skills of writing accordingly. Overall, it made me fall in love with literature all over again.

As it is a graduation college we don't have facilities for placements and internships. So, there were no placement drives.

Our college hosts the annual function every year which is a three day function mostly. Then along with that it conducts annual literary as well as cultural competitions. It also holds annual sports competition and friendly cricket and football matches among teachers and students. Also it holds student elections.

As the college is a semi government college, the education expenses are not expensive. The program fees vary according to the years of the course as well as according to the ranking of students. They are feasible. The college accepts online payments only now.

No I haven't opted for any scholarship or education loan as my college fees were totally feasible. It could be paid by parents.

The campus life is always interesting here. The students are very friendly. The seniors are always welcoming and helpful. The general student elections always open opportunities for leadership skills. It tests a student's worthiness for posts. The literary competitions are fairly judged and evenly participated. I have myself won a lot of prizes there. It also holds sports events annually. Cultural events as well as competition are held all the time. The college also conducts blood donation camps every six months and awareness drives are held too.

No, I have not opted for hostels. Also it doesn't have the option for hostels now. The girls hostel is getting constructed. It might ready in a year or so. There was no option of hostels earlier as it is a local college.

My college seniors were my best friends throughout the first two years. They have provided me immense support to strive through the first year of college. They were very welcoming. We had a lot of fun as well as they helped me with my studies too. They are still in touch.

I got in through the merit list based on 12th marks. As I have a passion for writing and literature, I enrolled in the Bachelor course of English literature. As the college is under the Utkal University, it follows the guidelines of admission set by it. The admission dates are usually out in the months of July and August.

The faculty of my department are the most amazing teachers I could ever have. At first the nervousness of being in a new situation had dimmed my enthusiasm but the warm welcome from teachers gave me a push to succeed in my field. There are four lecturers in my department who guided me and my fellow students with all their efforts and attention. To be honest, they are partly the reason of my love for literature.
