No, special steps were particularly taken by institution prepare M.Tech students, Mostly focus was on B.Tech students Placements.

College Events

4.5

IGDTUW has different Clubs & societies, they all have their events. Tarannum is a musical society. The Technoliterati Society, as the name suggests is the amalgamation of technicality and literary creativity and provides ample opportunities to IGDTUW students to explore their creative writing talents. Synergy Sports Club is the first sports society of IGDTUW. It has been set up to provide entertainment to students, faculty members and staff members around the year. In addition to above 2 major events were Fest & tech fest that allows participation for other college students as well. they used to include nice performances by students & celebs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee for M. tech was approx 65000 Rs. per year (in 2014), Fee is accepted in form of DD. Now (in 2020) it is approx 92000 Rs per year. Total course fee in M. tech is around 175, 500 Rs. Yes, They clearly provided breakdown. Fee seems to be feasible in compared to other engineering institutes in Delhi.

Fees and Financial Aid

For M.Tech we didn't got any college provided scholarship. But we got Gate scholarship of 8000, that later got updated 12000 per month. in order to get gate scholarship you need to clear gate exam. Merit list for admission in IGDTUW, M. tech course is based on GATE score.

Campus Life

There is no question of gender ratio. in IGDTUW as it is for Women only. W is for women. Campus life is awesome & over open minded environment. Population in pretty diverse. In university there are various activities that are performed :Tarannum is a musical society.

Alumni/Alumna

You can always reachout out to your seniors but Teachers always appreciate & try to enable that but Alumni is not really that effective, specially if we talk about M.Tech.

Admission

I got admission through GATE score in M.Tech (ISM). Admission process was pretty smooth:The admission to M. Tech program will be on the basis of the merit of the valid GATE Score secured by applicants and thereafter on the basis of the marks secured in the qualifying examination, as per the eligibility. However, candidates must note that first preference is given to the candidates who hold a valid GATE scorecard. For admission process We went there in the morning, Merit list was attached on the notice board in fronnt of auditorium. there were three councellings for that, in Auditorium they called names of candidates on the basis of merit list & checked their documents for all the seats.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty was Okay, Not very good neither bad, They were mostly qualified, But they didn't had industry exposure. Period interval was of an hour & mostly there was daily one lecture per subject. There was no miss in lecture, Teachers used to come regularly. Average age of lecturers were 35 years. Out of 5 mostly lecturers used to hold expertise of 3 to 4. Though lecturers didn't hold any industry expertise. but courses created were very good, that are totally based on industry relevance.

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.
