Remarks
This is the one of the top college in india among iits and nits, actually I want to study ECE branch that's why I had chosen this college where I got seat in the josaa. The college is very nice to study, good professors to teach and multinational companies will come to hire people for jobs,nice platform to fulfill our dreams. The bad aspects are nothing in the college. The admission process starts with the entrance exam jee main and then seat allotment process conducted by josaa through multiple rounds then we have to come to college and confirm the seat in the last round. Reason is I want to study in nits or iits unfortunately I didn't got iit so in nits it is top college. I just enquired the college website that is IRIS nitk.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was interested a lot in communications that is why I had chosen this ECE branch. I like electronics. There are a lot of faculty members who were very well experienced and phd candidates. Faculty:student ratio I think it is almost 1:20. As I mentioned most of the faculty members are phds and doctorates. They will teach in a quite unique way and very passionately. There are sem exams will be conducted at the end of sem and mid sem also there once in a sem, they are some what tougher for those who aren't study throughout the sem. One should regularly follow the subject.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are also good in the college, lot of companies offers internships with good stipend. Project will be offered by the companies you choose and training will be given.
Placement Experience
From 7 th sem itself students are eligible for placements Many multinational companies like Microsoft ,Amazon , google will visit our college every year. All most all people will be recruited. Highest packages will be 45 lakhs and average packages will be 8 lakhs and 9 lakhs. 92 percentage of students get placed last year and remaining will choose higher studies and startups. I am planning to get the job in multinational company.
Fees and Financial Aid
Institution Fee will be 62,500 per semester and hostel fee , mess fee all other stuff will be 35 to 40k per sem. Scholarships are also there in the college, full fee waiver for those income below 1 lakh and 2/3rd of fee waiver for those income between 1 lakh to 6 lakhs. I got college fee waiver based on income and I had taken a bank loan in the college sbi branch and I personally got ffe scholarship. I'm still studying in the college .
Campus Life
Life at nitk is very beautiful the only college which has its own private beach in India, coming to fest and events there were lot of fests will be conducted in college, technical fests, cultural fests named incident in February and engineer fest in month of August . Our college library has lot of books collection and journals also there in college. Every classroom has a projector and black board Most preference is given to sports inter nit sports will also conduct. Extracurricular activities also focused in college. Our college website IRIS was designed by its aluminium and lot of clubs are run by students technical clubs and non technical clubs.
Hostel Facilities
Every room has two fans and cupboards personal and reading table and chair for every student. Meals are also good, both North Indian and South Indian food will be available, veg and nonveg mess separate. Students council will be there in the college it will be done during the admission process itself.
