Ashima Garg's Review On Sri Guru Gobind Singh College Of Commerce, New Delhi

I have done both my graduation as well as post graduation from GGS. The things that attracted me most were its reputation, ratings, academic focus and placement opportunities. Being associated with the colleges for 3 years of graduation i also learnt the teachers are very knowledgeable as well as humble. Also the infrastructure is very comfortable. Hence I returned to GGS to pursue my masters

The teachers ensured to follow curriculum in line with that of dse. Industrial exposure was not provided as such. Placements also restrict to graduate level. Facilities are knowledgeable and supportive. I pursued my graduation from GGS and returned for my master here only because of the faculty. Professor SS Lamba is one of the most supportive and helpful guide in the college. You can approach him for any and everything.

Various companies visit the campus to provide placement for graduation courses like KPMG, delloite, EY, Mahindra and Mahindra, genpact, tommy Hilfiger, luthra and luthra, GT, Byjus etc. Companies recruited for various profiles like audit, ACCOUNTANCY, marketing, sales etc. Big companies recruited 15-20 students. Overall the placement cell is very active and works round the year.

The colleges has over 20 societies which provides a wide platform for co curricular development like enactus, raotract, literary societies, music society, dance society, active placement cell and many more. Each society orgaisnises there own fests. As well as the college conducts its annual fest in February which is organised on huge level inviting singers like B Prag etc. It is a complete 3 day event with various competition, activities food stalls and nevertheless - giant wheel and other rides. Over all life in ggs is quite happening throughout the year.

Being a comparatively new college, the college infrastructure is very pleasing to eyes as well as comfortable. We have a cricket ground, a football ground, a basketball ground along with a shooting range to encourage physical activities. The colleges library is spread over 2 storeys and covers wide variety of books ranging from course books to literature. We also have 2 computer labs with updated softwares. Nevertheless, the colleges cafeteria provides a wide variety of dishes from spring rolls to rajma fried rice. Colleges has an hostel for girls as well. Also there are 2 famous break out points - beggars and richers to take a break from all the academics and spend quality time with friends. Colleges has an auditorium as well to encourage various co curricular performances and host various competitions.
