Remarks
Jamia Hamdard is one of the old University and its engineering department was started in 1997.It provides engineering in computer science, which I wanted to pursue.It was nearby, to my home town and this was also one of the factor.
Course Curriculum Overview
Jamia Hamdard Engineering Department is in development stage.The course has been upgraded, as per the current trend and needs.Recently University upgraded the computer lab and started working on new operating system (Linux)University doesn't provide the 6-month industrial internhip.New technology is introduced recently for library and student verification and IDs.Engineering department has technical and cultural societies, which are working great.We usually have college fest and other social events like jashn-e-adab and even international conference with international speakers.
Internships Opportunities
I am intern at Sapio Analytics, as a Data analyst and with no stipend.It is working with the indian government, on Covid-19. Selection process includes registration, telephonic interview and tasks.
Placement Experience
Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and other IT sector companies visits the college campus.Students are allowed to sit for the interview after passing the selection process and exam.We have an entrepreneur cell, which has been working since last 2 years.
College Events
University has both technical and cultural societies such as IEEE, CSI and Epoch cultural society.They both contact technical events and cultural events and participate in other colleges competitions.University allows cultural festival and fest for each department of University with all type of activities and compensations.University hold cultural or poem festival like Jashn-e-adab, which is a big event.And even technical international conference in Science and medical fields.
Fees and Financial Aid
University provides annual scholarship to minorities through minority government scholarship. And separately to the needy, on the basis of merit.One can request for the scholarship, by writing to the vice chancellor.
Campus Life
Jamia Hamdard has a big sport complex, with a football and cricket ground and basketball court. Every year we have sports culture and week, where we compete with other colleges.Jamia Hamdard provides free wifi service to its students.The size of library is not very big, buy we have a separate reading hall.The computer labs has been upgraded recently with new computer systems. And has different labs for each purpose.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is provided by University for both girls and boys.Nearby living students find it difficult to get hostels.Seperate hostel for NRI students and foreign students.Each hostel has a room, which is shared by two students.
