Remarks
Kamala Nehru College provides quality education. It is ranked top 5 in BA English hons. Also, due to the proximity from my home we chose this college. Since the teachers are humble and hardworking, it drives a lot of students because of this reason as well. The placement is good at the final year. So, the opportunity increases to built future.
Course Curriculum Overview
Initially, there was a lot of confusion regarding the syllabus which misguided a lot of students towards the starting. Also, the course is so different from what we studied in school. So I expected a gist of how we should proceed. But we jumped to the syllabus. The faculty is amazing. One of the best professors is Susan Thomas whose only aim is to provide knowledge to her students.
Internships Opportunities
Yes. The company's name is Inmagz. I am interning as a content writer. It is an app based magazine (first ever). It is a very creative platform and readers love the content and topics we write on. The stipend is 5000 per month. I got through the Placement Cell in college.
Placement Experience
As mentioned above, the placement opportunities in Kamala Nehru is good. A lot of companies come for placement like Wattpad. I don't know the exact number of the placements till date since I am in 1st year only.
College Events
I love the campus life. Since there are only females, one feels comfortable and empowered in the atmosphere. We didn't have our fest this year because of the lockdown. But I attended Diwali Mela which turned out successful. A lot of people attended from outside.
Campus Life
Compared to other colleges in DU, the campus is small. Sometimes the canteen gets very crowded and the items are mostly unavailable. Air conditioners are available only in journalism block. The library is big and sports facilities are also good. But there are network issues a lot. Wifi hardly works.
