Remarks

A councellor recommended this university after I have passed 12th class. I am quite interested in automobiles so I took this chance and choose mechanical engineering. The college is located in Baddi which is a pharma industry hub and so have high pollution levels.

Course Curriculum Overview

The experience in college was exactly as required by BTech students but certain limitations in course as well as advanced studies is there, these days industries are growing fast and have very less time for learnings, so a student has lot to prepare from college only.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 450000 per year

Placement Experience

There were a lot of mid cap industries visiting providing average salary of about 300000. But mostly placements depend on students preperation and performance. Students cannot avail more than 2 placements.

College Events

Considering extra curricular activities, the campus has ample amount of events and Students also got chances to arrange events and other exposure s were there. The annual fest is also there and lot of sports activities arranged as per student requirements.

Campus Life

Infrastructure was good, though mechanical section campus was non AC and during summers temperature was non bearable but it becomes habit afer some days. Moreover there are new blocks developing which may help coming students.

Placement Experience:

Student become eligible form 7th semesters, Companies like Amazon, DeShaw, SalesForce, Deloitte, etc visit here and they respectively take a good number of students. Highest package was 80 LPA by DeShaw and average package is around 13 to 15 LPA 93 % students are placed I am also planning to sit in the placements and going in the development feild

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

I chose this course because I liked horticulture .This course is very well applied in real world in cultivation and growing of vegetables, fruits and flowers and horticulture also has job opportunities in private sector. Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

Overall a good college
